About the Author Jason Calabrese
Jason Calabrese is a former high school coach who has coached at the freshmen, junior varsity, varsity, and AAU levels of basketball, football and baseball. He competed at the collegiate level in both football at Southern Connecticut State University and basketball at UConn Stamford Branch.
He currently coaches in summer and fall basketball leagues and will occasionally scout high school basketball for his coaching buddies when asked to. For the past four years, he has worked as an assistant clinician for Breakthrough Basketball Camps where there is a heavy focus on basketball IQ, as well as on making a positive impact on players’ lives either directly or by educating coaches and parents around the world.
All the wins and championships aside, his best accomplishments are having helped build character, grit, determination and sportsmanship in the boys and girls he coached, that they are now able to relate to as young men and women.
